The Higher Education Development and Support division consists of the following units:

  • The Directorate of Co-operative Education (DCE) is responsible for the collaboration between the university, industry, commerce and the public sector in order to enhance learning. It forms an integral part of curriculum development and implementation.  DCE has identified two main focus areas namely work integrated learning, and graduate recruitment and employability.
  • The Directorate of Curriculum Development and Support (CDS) aims to partner with the academia in developing curricula of high standards for TUT, offering first-rate professional and academic staff development opportunities to the University.
  • The primary purpose of the Directorate of Student Development and Support (SDS) is to assist and enhance the academic and personal well-being of the individual student. The Directorate subscribes to a holistic approach to the wellbeing and success of individual students and to rendering a specific range of services. SDS contributes actively and directly towards the institutional goals.
  • Teaching & Learning with Technology (TLwT) helps facilitators to put learners in control of their own learning by designing memorable learning experiences.  Through smart use of educational technology, we bring you massified individualisation: serving the needs of individual students, by applying well researched learning theory  to challenging educational problems using state of the art technology.
